Television Review: One Tree Hill, "100th Episode"
by R.J. Carter
Published: March 18, 2008
Has it been 100 episodes already? Where does the time go? Tonight's episode of One Tree Hill is a tense one, filled with more surprises than a Friday afternoon daytime soap.

There are a number of daydream segments in this episode, which fool the viewer on a few occassions: is what you're seeing real, or is it in somebody's mind? Everything revolves around the wedding of Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and Lindsey (Michaela_McManus). But just because they've made it to the altar doesn't mean it's the start of happily ever after -- particularly if Lucas's old flame, Peyton (Hilarie Burton) follows through on Skills' suggestion to stand up and protest the union!

But there's more drama than just Peyton's anxieties. There's real villainous danger afoot -- and it's not just because Lucas's father, Dan (Paul Johansson) is out on parole! The wedding is beset by a surprising twist, followed quickly by a family tragedy -- a tragedy that may just set the groundwork for a reconciliation between Lucas's brother Nathan (James Lafferty) and his wife Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) -- because there's a villain worse than the fratricidal Dan Scott emerging from the shadows of the past tonight!

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a regular watcher of One Tree Hill -- there are only so many hours in the day. But I have to say, there was a lot of interesting stuff in this, from unique camera angles to a perfectly paced moment of revelation about Lucas's new manuscript about a man and the comet that changed his life. If you're a fan of One Tree Hill, you won't want to miss this one. And if you haven't checked it out yet, tune in or set your Tivo, because this one is filled to the gills with surprising twists and turns.

One Tree Hill airs Tuesday, March 18, at 9pm EST/8pm CST on The CW.
