10:00 PM: Andre calls Jack and instructs him to head over to Palmer's hotel. The government seized $200 million of the Drazen's money and he wants it back. Palmer has the necessary credentials to unfreeze the money. Andre will call back and Palmer must be the one to answer. Jack will receive furthur instructions once Andre has received confirmation of the money transfer. Jack wants to know what he will be doing afterwards and asks if he will be instructed to take out Palmer. Andre confirms that this is the reason they let Jack live. That's why they have Jack's daughter.

10:01 PM: Patty enters Palmer's room and asks him about his Dallas itinerary. Palmer confirms that it is fine. Patty then asks if he will be needing anything else from her. Palmer motions for the lone Secret Service agent to leave the room and, when he does, invites Patty to sit down. Palmer knows they are heading down a dangerous road. Patty offers an apology but Palmer wants to know if she is truly sorry. She answers that she is attracted to him and always have been. He gives her a keycard and tells her to meet him in 20 minutes in room 907. Suddenly, Sherry enters and acts surprised. Patty says that she will go make some changes to the Dallas schedule. Sherry and Palmer discuss being apart for a few days and both agree they need some time apart. Sherry leaves.

10:06 PM: Mason wants to find Jack through Alexis but unfortunately, he shed the tracking device. He wants Nina to use any available resource to find Alexis. Then, Jack calls in and confirms he is alright. He cannot come in but wants Teri to know he is fine. He can give few details and ends the call. Nina and Mason know he is protecting Kim but they also know the Drazens will want something in return. The Drazens want Palmer dead and Mason fears Jack may be headed over there. He calls Secret Service and adds protection to Palmer's detail.

10:08 PM: Victor and Andre arrive at the docks where a doctor is trying to save Alexis. They arrive just in time to hear Alexis say, "Father." Then, he expires. Kim sits nearby, her mouth taped and her hands bound. Victor and Andre want a few minutes along with Alexis. Andre becomes enraged at the loss of his sister and brother. He aims his gun at Kim but Victor confinces him to wait.

10:14 PM: Patty awaits an elevator to head down to room 907. Sherry walks up and begins talking with Patty. She learns about Palmer's request but Patty is uncomfortable because Sherry knows and consents about their impending escapade. When asked why she is doing this, Sherry answers that is important for her to have David's full confidence. She needs Patty to get it (wink, wink). They both know what this will lead to. The elevator arrives.

10:15 PM: Nina is confirming the extra layer of security around Palmer when Tony comes up with important news. The schematics of the detention facility where Drazen was extracated from have been tampered with. Nina wants Tony to find out who has accessed the files in the past month. They each feel they may have a second dirty agent.

10:17 PM: A few moments later, Mason asks Nina to keep Teri calm because she is a basketcase in the conference room. Nina heads over and informs Teri that Jack is no longer being held by the Drazens. He is not headed to CTU because they believe the Drazens will ask him to do something else. Teri is upset. Nina breaks the horrible news that Kim has been recaptured and Jack is working to protect her...again. Teri is distraught.

10:18 PM: Alexis body is hauled away as Kim learns that she may be released if Jack completes a task. Jack has called Senator Palmer and asked to see him. He needs clearance because of the extra security. Palmer agrees.

10:24 PM: Patty arrives at room 907. Palmer is already inside. She was careful that no one saw her come to the room. She sits next to Palmer on the bed and asks how much time they have. Palmer assures her that she need not worry about that. As Patty gazes into his eyes lovingly with a big smile, Palmer says he needs to tell her something. After a pause, he utters sternly, "You're fired. Pack up. Don't bother to ask me or anyone on my staff for a reference. Perspective employers won't like what I have to say." Palmer puts on his jacket as he prepares to leave. Palmer knows what is going on. Patty is working with his wife. Patty tries to apologize but it doesn't help. She should have just said no. Palmer wants her out of the hotel in 30 minutes.

10:26 PM: Tony has retrieved the access files and calls Nina over to his desk. Six people have accessed the file in the past month. The first five were doing schedule backups. The sixth one is George Mason. He accessed the file four days ago and would only have done it if he was involved. Tony wants Nina to call Chappelle but Nina wants to hold off. She demands Tony shut off Mason's network access. Tony agrees but needs to come up with a reason why in the likely event Mason wants to know.

10:27 PM: Sherry is in the bathroom brushing her hair when David arrives. She asks where he has been and he informs her she was downstairs in room 907 with Patty. Sherry, acting surprised, asks why he was there but Palmer encourages her to drop the act. He has fired Patty. Sherry is unfazed by this turn of events. Sherry was only trying to help David but he understands just how sick her help is. She tried to put another woman in his bed. They are about to move into the White House. Both of them according to Sherry. Sherry sent Patty to spy on David because he needs Sherry. If he cuts our out of the loop as he threatened, he will fail and Sherry will do anything to avoid that. An agent informs David that Jack has arrived. David is not finished with Sherry.

10:29 PM: Jack tells Senator Palmer the details of what is going on. David is stunned that Jack was sent for money. He does not have the clearance to unfreeze those assets. Andre should know how the system works. That money is gone and has been for some time. Jack confirms that he is to take action against Palmer once the wire transfer is complete but he is only trying buy time. The call comes. Palmer reluctanly answers. Palmer asks what Drazen wants but he hears nothing. Victor has a device in his hand. Jack says, "He knows you can't get the money." He grabs the phone, tosses it away from Palmer and pushed Palmer to the ground as an explosion rocks the room. The Secret Service rush to Palmer who is unhurt. Jack, also, is not hurt.

10:37 PM: Jack wants a trace on the residue from the explosives as Sherry rushes into the room. Jack asks a Secret Service agent not to respond to a radio request about the Senator's whereabouts. He tells Palmer that he needs the Drazens to believe he is dead to protect his daughter. Sherry will not stand for it because they cannot keep toying with the public. After arguing for a bit, Palmer agrees that they cannot sacrifice an innocent girl. Jack orders the area sealed to everyone. The Secret Service is to seal the floor.

10:39 PM: Mason comes downstairs and wants to know what is going on with his network access. Tony will look into it but first, Mason uses Tony's computer to look at Palmer's schedule for Dallas. He wants to know when Palmer's plane is leaving and orders Tony to find out. Nina wants to alert Chappelle but Tony is cautious. Without any evidence, Chappelle would rip them apart. He will restore Mason's access and monitor everything. Just then, Mason comes back downstairs as the news is put on all of the CTU monitors. The press has just been told about Senator Palmer's death.

10:41 PM: The Drazens are also watching the news and rejoice at his death. Andre calls to confirm that Jack is dead but when he asks a Secret Service agent to speak with Bauer, Jack picks up. The Drazens know he is not dead. Jack offers to trade his life for Kim's life. Andre tells him to head to the Port of Los Angeles, Pier 11A. No agents should accompany him. Jack calls to let Nina know what he is doing but will not reveal his intended location. He asks to speak with Teri.

10:43 PM: When Teri is on the line, Jack informs her that he is safe and is going to pick up Kim. Teri decides now is the time to tell Jack about her pregnancy. She tells Jack that he will soon be a father again. Jack begins to cry in shock. It has been such a long day but he tells Teri that hs is happy. She is happy too. This is their second chance that they have wanted.

10:46 PM: Jack drives away in a nearby SUV and heads towards the Port of Los Angeles.

10:51 PM: Andre begins talking to Kim about his sister. He remembers looking at her but regrets that he can no longer do that. He wants to know if Kim has been told the details of her death. He reveals that Jack killed his sister. Kim defends her father, saying that he is a good man who would not kill an innocent person. Andre disagrees and tells Kim that Jack is not a good man. No, he is not.

10:53 PM: Nina and Tony head up to Mason's office. Mason starts with the shocker: "Palmer's still alive." Tony questions the news reports but Mason has yet to be debriefed on the full details and does not know the answer. It is likely a defensive strategy. The assassins will not try to harm Palmer if they believe he is dead. This news goes no furthur than the three people in the room. Mason asks if anyone has spoken to Jack. Nina and Tony indicate they have not. Mason decides it does not matter. "It'll all be over soon enough."

10:54 PM: Kim sees a coffee pot nearby and the little light bulb goes off in her head. She asks the guard if she can have some coffee because she is cold. As she tries to pour it, the guard comes near to check on her progress. Her hands remain bound. She turns and tosses the entire contents of the coffee pot in his face as he screams in pain. She darts towards the door and exits the warehouse. She runs along the pier and hides nearby. The Drazens come running after her. They spread out to locate Kim. Kim carefully relocates herself several times until she is finally seen running along a pier. She reaches the end as Andre aims towards her. He tries to convince her not to jump. She will drown.

10:56 PM: She jumps. Underwater, she is struggling to free herself from the ropes which bind her hands. A few moments later, she pops up from the water, her hands free. She swims to another deck and pulls herself up from the water. She has not yet been spotted.

10:57 PM: Jack is still driving and checking his watch. Teri is trying to sleep in the conference room. Senator Palmer is drinking coffee in the hotel.

10:58 PM: Andre is concerned how they will get Bauer without Kim. Victor assures Andre that Jack will have no choice but to trust them. Then, Andre receives a call from Yelena.

10:59 PM: They communicate in a foreign language. Andre wants to know why she is calling and she breaks the bad news. Palmer is not dead. It was all a trick to make them think Palmer was dead in order to keep Kim alive. Andre wants to know if she is sure of this news. The camera view pulls back as the woman answers. "Yes, I'm sure." Then, the woman heads over to Tony at CTU and begins discussing the newest information they have received. The woman is Nina.

11:00 PM: Tick...Tick...Tick...Tick...
