This contest is over. The winner is Susanne Troop from Racine, WI.

Discovered by MercyMe frontman Bart Millard, The Afters signed to INO Records and created a buzz with their debut disc, I Wish We All Could Win. Never Going Back to OK again features all the components that made that collection a hit -- the memorable melodies, compelling lyrics, skilled musicianship and Josh Havens’ engaging lead vocals.

The Afters
The broadly appealing Never Going Back to OK
should have The Afters leaping across the divide
of Christian to mainstream popularity.
The Afters are well-poised to follow in the footsteps of bands like Switchfoot and Sixpence None the Richer with crossover success.  In his review for The Trades, R.J. Carter acknowledges that the new set "hooks the listener with intriguing lyrics and edgy guitar riffs."

Both a highlight, and a bit of a thematic departure, "MySpace Girl" tells the true story of vocalist/guitarist/bass-player Brad Wigg’s pursuit of his wife-to-be.  Light-hearted as it tries to be, the tune ranks right up there with seminal stalker anthems like "Every Breath You Take" or, my personal favorite, "When Your Heart is Weak." The whimsical animated video somewhat mitigates the creepiness.
