Warehouse 13 Adds Aaron Ashmore
Television Review: Warehouse 13, "The New Guy"
by R.J. Carter
Published: July 11, 2011

Aaron Ashmore (Smallville) is BATFE agent Steve Jinks, the titular "new guy" on Warehouse 13, after encountering Pete Lattimer (Eddie McClintock), Claudia Donovan (Allison Scagliotti) and Artie Nielsen (Saul Rubinek) on a retrieval gone wrong. Immediately seeing through their cover stories with his supernatural lie detector abilities, Steve is later visited by the enigmatic Mrs. Frederic (CCH Pounder) and given nearly the same invitation as was initially given to Pete when he was enlisted.

Pete's not keen on having a partner, as he's still adjusting to the departure of Myka (Joanne Kelly), and Allison feels she's by rights the next in line to be come a field agent. However, there's little time to argue when statues of Zeus and Hera begin warring in the warehouse, and mysterious deaths that mirror those of Shakespearian tragedies begin occuring around a hush-hush conference.

As Pete encounters resistance from FBI agent Sally Stukowski (Ashley Williams, Good Morning Miami), he finds himself in over his head in pursuing clues of this particular literary bent, sending him seeking help from a surprising source. Further, there's a new "big bad" this season who looks to be a source of trouble for the Warehouse 13 agents, and while he remains a shadowy figure, what does get revealed in the unveiling will produce a universal "No way!" exclamation across the Internet.

Warehouse 13, "The New Guy," premieres Monday, July 11, 9PM ET|PT on Syfy.
