Although Sean Faris comes from humble beginnings, his career achievements are anything but modest. Formerly a resident of small towns in Texas and Ohio, Faris now resides in Los Angeles, where he works as the lead actor on the ABC drama, “Life As We Know It”. Known for its edgy depiction of teenage life, the series tackles challenging issues that many other shows shy away from. “The issues we deal with are realistic issues that people can relate to,” Faris says. “People see the repercussions of certain actions that are made. There are a lot of lessons to be learned all throughout what we do on the show.”

On “Life As We Know It” Faris portrays a star athlete, which isn’t much of a stretch considering his love of sports. “All my life growing up I played baseball and football,” he tells me. “I also played soccer, and I was a diver in high school. I pretty much tried out everything.”

Although his athletic talents are impressive, it is Faris’ refined acting skill that has won him recognition as a breakout star by some of the nation’s top publications, including USA Today, Daily Variety, and The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s incredibly satisfying to be honored like that,” Faris comments. “It makes you want to go out there and work that much harder to keep moving forward and to keep advancing.”

Looking towards the future, Faris hopes to eventually branch out into writing, directing, and producing and believes that his early success in show business gives him an advantage over the competition. “Because I didn’t go to college, and because I spent my college time out in LA, it gives me a huge advantage over anyone who went to college,” Faris says. “By the time they get out of school, I’ve already had four years of real world experience. I just feel like I have a major edge over them.”

Without question, Faris’ most distinguishable personality trait is his low key, laid back style. While some may interpret this as a lack of enthusiasm, I prefer to consider it as the quiet confidence of a gifted young actor who knows that his career is headed in the right direction. There seems to be little doubt that Sean Faris will be a fixture in the entertainment industry for many years to come.
