Touched by an Angel is the inspirational television series that focuses on angels and their work on Earth. Fellow angels Monica (Roma Downey) and Tess (Della Reese) join the Angel of Death (John Dye) as they assume earthly bodies to help regular people deal with some of life's problems. They preach God's eternal message.
The series lasted for nine seasons. The third season was the longest with 29 episodes. This release features the first 16 episodes that originally aired from September 15, 1996 through January 19, 1997. This first volume of season three comes on four single-sided discs.
During this season, Monica and Tess help a jobless family man. Monica helps a doctor haunted by the death of her daughter. Monica helps a teacher who is kidnapped by a student. Monica poses a journalist to interview a death row inmate. Monica and Tess help heal a troubled father-son relationship. A Secret Service agent befriends an older retiree. Monica helps an accused murderer avoid capture. The angels help a widower deal with life.
The angels help a couple through their troubled wedding. A criminal tries to earn his way into heaven. The angels try to help a drug addict. While recovering, the former addict discovers her long-lost son. Monica mistakenly contributes to a story that proves troublesome for a foster family. A violin-maker must deal with his son's terminal illness. The angels are forced to use a special "angel-only" power. A young tobacco attorney must deal with his own mother's lung cancer.
There are no bonus features on this set.
