We said goodbye to Sheree and Piao last week, after the girls cast their eyes to the sky, and the guys just got an eyeful. Team Nintendo -- Super Mario and Princess Nadia -- creamed the competition in both events. And the cliques among the beauties began to form, blondes against non-blondes. Can our geeks show them how to just get along?

Returning to the main room, Andrea is griping to Matt that the blondes don't like her. And she's right. The blondes all heartily welcome Matt back, but they're distinctly standoffish to Andrea. Cecille is even a bit giddy, celebrating that Sheree is gone. Ah, Cecille, you're really playing under an assumed name, aren't you? Is your real name Bea, Ms. Yotch?

Tonight, the geeks have to discover their hidden passion for fashion, while the women will once again have to hit the books to study marketing and business. Jedi Nate is not too cool with the whole makeover idea -- he's happy with his look; and Megan believes that Scooter basically wears whatever he finds laying in an alley, while Erin feels like she's sending Drew off to college, as they have an hour to pref him to go off shopping by himself for clothes and a haircut.

Nate wants to wear something that make him sweat less. Cecille quite logically suggests deodorant, and we learn that Nate has never worn the stuff, preferring to go au natural. The French flies right over Cecille's head, although I'm sure she's been there before. She at least talks Nate out of getting a mullet!

In the store, Matt is at least smart enough to get the help of the female clerk when it comes to what looks good, while Niels is on the hunt for jeans that will make his nonexistant butt look good. And to get a snug fitting shirt, Niels bypasses the men's department and goes straight to the women's tees. Picking a pastel tee and a leather jacket lined with orange, against the advice of the clerk.

Meanwhile, Super Mario is definitely out of his element. The problem is that there aren't very many clothes in the store that fit him, and he doesn't feel as though he'll be wearing his clothes with any confidence.

Back at the mansion, the girls are hitting the books, trying to second-guess what the real competition will be. And as they consider whether it has something to do with coming up with a slogan for their newly remade partners, it is revealed that Niels' partner JennyLee has a bit of a crush on Jedi Nate.

Loaded down with clothes, the guys make the next step in their remake: the haircut. Vidal Sassoon has their work cut out for them, as Nate gets rid of the beard and Niels goes for some rockstar blue highlights. Blue and Orange? What sports team is Neils trying to mascot for? He's taking some serious fashion risks.

When the men return to the mansion, they put on a fashion show for the beauties, who haven't seen them in their new looks. JennyLee thinks Niels looks hot, and the "rock and roll peacock" look really does work for him. Scooter has on white pants and shoes with a pastel blue pullover, and his beard is gone. It's quite the improvement, and and Megan comments that she's going to push the beds back together.

Erin is impressed with Drew's presence and confidence, and Super Mario comes out not feeling very super at all, although he looks different with his hair straightened. The biggest change of all is Nate, however, who comes out looking like Danny Zucco with his missing beard and a ton of product in his hair. The big lesson though was: lose the glasses, and wear a jacket over a t-shirt.

After the geeks are done on the catwalk, MC Mike announces that teamwork is going to be very important in the challenge scheduled for tomorrow, as the winning team will be deciding on both the teams going to the elimination competition. The challenge: a live charity auction. Up for bid: the geeks themselves! The team that collects the highest bid will win. Niels isn't sure how he feels about that.

Challenge: Pimp Your Geek

The beauties go into overtime coaching mode to get their geek partners to be the best they can be. Andrea tries to sculpt Matt's smile. Nadia gets Mario to shake his booty. Erin and JennyLee both work on their men's walks. And Cecille drums up a fake resume about Scooter's yacht and career as an inventor.

Getting ready for the auction, Star Wars Nate decides to put his friendship with Starflee Admiral Drew to the ultimate test -- he asks to borrow his deodorant stick! In fact, he not only wants to borrow it, he wants to be instructed on how to use it. Okay, even I'm not buying that Nate is that geeky. "It's slimey," he exclaims as he rubs it on (with Drew's help). "You do that every morning?"

The auction is sponsored by Dentyne, who will be kicking in an extra $5000 to the beneficiary, which is the Entertainment Industry Foundation. First out is Mario, who is so blind without his glasses that he even tosses of a coy flirty point-and-wink at MC Mike! He gives it his cutesy best, but his maximum bid is only $10. This competition isn't going to go to Team Nintendo.

Megan brings out Scooter, who does some pushups for the audience, pushing his final bid up to $15. Andrea, knowing she has her work cut out for her with Matt, pulls out the virginity card, which boosts Matt's value up to a matching $15.

Erin introduces "Andrew" as "an investment king, looking for his queen." Drew pulls off his fashion walk, which mostly consists of tossing his jacket over his shoulder. But it must work, because he takes the top spot with $22. But he doesn't hold it long. Despite Cecille's inane rhyming patter, Nate is instantly bid up to $22, which -- after he does a little floor-grinding -- grows to $29.

JennyLee

Niels
Nate is going to be tough to beat, and Niels is the last one brought out. The lesson here is to ignore store clerks and buy the clothes you like, because Niels and JennyLee end up taking the top spot with a winning $32 bid, leaving Andrea concerned that the blonde squad will once again come gunning for her.

But before Niels and JennyLee can discuss their choices, we first follow the geeks out onto their dates. Drew mentions to his date that he's a film minor, which instantly prompts her to ask about the kinds of films he likes. He desperately wants to say "Star Trek", but falls back on saying "comedies." So much for being yourself, Drew. Niels talks about pets -- his pet venus flytrap, specifically -- and Scooter talks about his newfound love for artichoke hearts. (The cutaway to an interview segment with Scooter features the marquee line, "This interview is more interesting than the actual date.") Super Mario is the ultimate romantic gentleman, feeding his date dessert. Nate's actress date is a talk-talk-talker, but he manages to get some words in. Niels, however, takes the cake, because after exchanging emails with his date, he then asks her, in parting, for her name! Yeah, those exchanged emails will get used a lot.

With the guys gone, JennyLee is bored. Fortunately the guys (and her crush, Nate) return none too soon. Megan and Cecille ask Scooter if he got lucky, adding that he's "about to." Way to go, Scooter!

JennyLee however has to spend her time with Niels, because they have to decide on eliminations. Niels wants to put up the team of Cecille and Nate, because he knows that Nate is going to remain his friend no matter what. But Niels has just made two fatal errors: he picked on a member of the blonde squad, and he tried to kick out JennyLee's heart-throb. JennyLee says she's okay with letting Cecille go, but she really wants Nate to stay. Niels won't budge on it, however, because they're a powerful team, and JennyLee goes on a tantrum. "How can you be so stubborn?" she asks him. She can't even look at him right now, sending him off with a terse, "You let me know when it's time for me to come out and stand next to you." If I were Niels, I'd surprise her by putting his own team up.

Elimination

At the elimination ceremony, JennyLee makes no bones about her feelings on the decisions -- a difficult process, and she totally disagrees with the choice. But the choice she puts forward isn't the one she disagrees with, because that choice is blonde squad target Andrea and Matt. Andrea immediately confronts JennyLee about her choice, since she's up once again. Andrea finally accepts it, with a "Terminator"-esque "I'll be back," which JennyLee declares to be a bit scary.

Niels also makes the speech that JennyLee totally disagrees with this decision. JennyLee is crying -- as is Niels! But he makes the case that he's trying to eliminate a strong team, and he still wants a lifelong friendship. It's Nate and Cecille. I'm thinking that Andrea can crush Cecille in the competitions, but Nate may be able to take Matt. This one could be close.

Andrea

Matt
vs.

Cecille

Nate

After the selections are announced, Andrea and JennyLee get to face-off in the atrium. Andrea confronts JennyLee about her not wanting Nate to leave because she's in love with him. JennyLee counters that Andrea isn't one of them, but is usually playing chess like a geek. And when JennyLee spouts off that she's a lot cooler than Andrea, you almost expect a catfight to erupt. Alas, while the confrontation is a cold one, it remains civil. Not even a loud spat with nasty words. These girls should watch some reruns of Flavor of Love to see how girlfights are really done.

For the elimination challenge, the geeks will be taking on questions about men's fashion, while the beauties will have to give answers about business and marketing. As always, the ladies get to go first.

Andrea does not know what kind of advertising is exemplified by a billboard. (The answer is "outdoor" advertising.)
Cecille knows what a focus group is.
Andrea misses Target's slogan, "Expect More, Pay Less", attributing it to Payless Shoe Stores.
Cecille knows what email spam is.

With Cecille knocking out Andrea two to zero in a shocking upset, the guys come in with Nate having to only answer one question to pull off a win for his team.

Andrea

Matt
Nate recognizes Jay Z's picture, and it's all over. "Thank goodness Andrea's not coming back," is the comment from the watching blonde squad (was that JennyLee?)

Andrea may have fumbled it for her team in this competition, but Matt doesn't reflect on that. Instead, he chooses to focus on being friends with Andrea, while Andrea is glad that Matt is more confident now. It may not be as entertaining as watching the couple argue on the way out, but it's way classier.

Next week looks to be real fun, as Cecille unleashes her wrath on the team of JennyLee and Niels for daring to have the audacity to put her up for elimination. I'll bring the popcorn.
