A Summary
The rain poured. While Kucha was away at tribal council, their fire extinguished. Kucha did not sleep because they wore their sleeping clothes to tribal council. They were soaked. With no fire and wet clothes, they awoke very tired. Beginning day 16 cold and tired, Kucha restarted their fire and begins thinking of the merger. They want to win the next immunity challenge and pick off Ogakor one by one. Jeff is also enjoying the fact that Kucha is able to hear Ogakor complain about their hunger and then defeat Ogakor and "take their food."

Ogakor is hungry. They are running extremely low on food and motivation. Jerri wants chocolate because "it releases the same endorphins as sex does." (Jerri was not able to win over Colby enough for some 'chocolate.') Colby is irritated by the continued talk of chocolate and hot fudge. Jerri continues to beat on her drum and scream out food items. "This is ridiculous," says Colby (and everyone else that was subjected to this display).

Kucha finds yet another food item: chicken feed. Mike pours into a pot and cooks it over the fire. As he does, it begins to pop...into popcorn. That’s right: Ogakor has nothing and Kucha has popcorn. Kucha devours the popcorn and then the chicken feed. They are addicted to it. They want to kill the chickens to prevent the chickens from eating more of the feed.

Jerri and Keith go at it again. Jerri’s tomatoes are green and she wants fried green tomatoes. Keith wished she had left them to ripen for another day. As they continue to bicker over the tomatoes and the rice, Tina has listened to enough. "Stop it! Stop it both of you or you are going to time out," yells Tina. Nothing more is heard. The tomatoes were not good and Keith voiced his opinion.

The reward challenge brings with it blindfolds and a picnic. Both tribes recognize that one person will not be blindfolded and will be leading the others. Kucha practices with Nick as the leader. Kucha wants to keep the advantage in their favor but Ogakor wants it to. They, however, do not practice. Instead, Jerri leads them in some yoga. Prior to the event, each tribe is tempted with a chip and some Mountain Dew. For the challenge, one member from each tribe will sit atop a tower and lead the other tribe members, by voice, to complete four tasks: place two logs in a sawhorse, take a trap and switch it for another trap in the water, take buckets to a water tower to fill them and dump them into a wine barrel until it overflows, and finally take the picnic basket to the table. Jerri and Nick will do the leading. Jerri has problems early leading Amber to the sawhorse. Kucha has an early lead entering the water. Colby gets his trap stuck around a pole costing them a significant amount of time. Ogakor gains ground in the bucket fill. Keith and Amber get very lost but Jerri guides them back on track. Ogakor fills their wine barrel first and rushes to find their picnic basket. Jerri leads Amber to the basket but Kucha catches up. Amber is right next to the table but she cannot locate it. Kucha sneaks in, places their basket on the table and walks away with their third consecutive reward challenge victory. Colby takes a bucket of water and launches it at Jerri. Kucha enjoys their reward.

And finally, the moment everyone has been waiting for...

Mike comes back from fishing with two fish. Kucha debates when to eat the fish and all want more chicken feed. Rodger cleans a fish. Jeff washes his shirt. Alicia gathers firewood. Elisabeth rests. A bird calls. Mike screams. "He's burnt, he's burnt pretty badly." Mike runs into the river as Kucha scrambles to figure out what to do. Mike explains what happened: "I was blowing on the fire and the smoke was right in my face...and I inhaled it...and I passed out." His hands are badly burned; the skin is hanging off. He yells again and keeps his hands submerged. Medics are called in. He also has burns on his shoulders and face. When the medics arrive, they provide Mike with a breathing treatment to calm him down. His hands are wrapped in cold cloths. When the helicopter lands and Mike is loaded in, he tells Kucha, by now heavily medicated to ease the pain, to stay strong and do what they know has to be done. The helicopter leaves as Kucha becomes very emotional.

Ogakor is informed only that there has been an incident and that a Kucha member was evacuated. Because of the incident, there was no immunity challenge. The tribes will merge even at five members each. Kucha has decided that, when they enter the merger, they will do exactly as Mike wanted: "eat 'em (Ogakor) up and spit 'em out."

(Jeff Probst was not beaten to death with a digeridoo. He is still alive and annoying.)

A Preview of Episode Seven
The tribes merge but they did not leave their alliances behind. Jeff sees Colby and Keith pointing at Kucha members, which he perceives as picking out their first prey. "We weren’t together fifteen minutes and it’s already started."

The S-Rating for Episode Seven
Lordpappy correctly chose Mike, so we have invited him back.

Merged Tribe: Jerri
Comments:
I think that Mike's accident has united Kucha and they will eliminate Ogakor beginning with Jerri. Although she is the "obvious" pick, she said herself that she would go down while raising hell. I think she will try something stupid to win over Kucha and Kucha will recognize it and vote her out.

Merged Tribe: Jeff
Comments:
As much as I think that the continued theatrics of Amber and Jerri will annoy the newly-combined tribe, Ogakor will defy all expectations in that they band together to vote off Jeff, seen as the leader of the Kucha faction. It will be by one vote, as a Kucha member votes for Jerri rather than with her tribe. I'm also voting for Jeff because of Debb's comments on January 31st-- of the Survivors she became closest to, Jeff is the only one mentioned that has yet to be voted off.

Dead By Dawn
Merged Tribe: Keith
Comments:
I have no clue. Just like everyone else this week. So to take a gamble, I'll say the chef eats it.

Merged Tribe: Jerri
Comments:
I think Colby or Nick will walk away with the immunity challenge (as the challenges seem to be more often physical), and that Kucha will try to pick off each of the Ogakor members. I was very impressed with Kucha practicing the 'blind' challenge, and I think they will also have strategized the merger, even having a backup vote in place. Their first choice will be Colby, but if he wins, Jerri will get the axe.

Merged Tribe: Colby
Comments:
If there were any differences in the Kucha camp...Mike's injury got rid of those. I guarantee no Kucha member will vote for one of their own until all the Ogakor are gone. I also think now is where you want to vote off the person most likely to win an immunity challenge. So, my pick is Colby. He is by far the most dangerous of the Ogakor, as far as challenges are concerned. He will be viewed as the member they need to get rid of first. I'd like to add here that I think Ogakor will probably be targeting Jeff as their first "victim". I just don't think they'll be able to get along long enough to all vote the same way. Oh, yeah, if Colby wins immunity...sorry Amber.

Merged Tribe: Jerri
Comments:
As we witnessed during the original Survivor, the merge is perhaps the most unpredictable point in the game. Come tribal council, suddenly the strongest competitors become the most vulnerable. I wouldn't be surprised to see either Nick or Keith leave unexpectedly. Should Ogakor miraculously unite (better late than never), I think Alicia will be in trouble. She's tough and I don't see her getting along very well with Jerri. However, I believe the Kucha tribe's solidarity pledge will hold true. They will come together to eliminate either Colby (because of his obvious strength) or Jerri (because she's so freakin' annoying). While Colby is my dark horse pick to leave the outback, I think Jerri's theatrics will prove to be just as unbearable for Kucha as they have been for Ogakor and, unfortunately for Jerri, Kucha will have far less patience. Colby's exit will have to wait until next week.

Merged Tribe: Colby
Comments:
Ogakor is totally united after Michael's unfortunately accident. Kucha is still in-fighting. Ogakor already has their plan laid out. It'll be something like "that guy first, and that guy next..." etc. Keith sticks around 'cause he can do wonders with the loot of food Kucha's been hording. Keith will probably be the last Ogakor to go. Jerri's annoying but so long as she's not OVERLY annoying (and isn't rude to Kucha's new darling, Keith), she'll last until the next challenge. Colby, though, is tough and strong and threatening. He's first.

Vince
Merged Tribe: Jerri
Comments:
Colby will probably win the immunity challenge. Kucha is going to look to vote off a Ogakor member. The five Kucha members will combine with Colby's vote to kick Jerri out. Keith isn't too fond of her either. Even if Colby doesn't win immunity, Jerri will leave. She has her own tribe disliking her, and the combined power of Colby/Keith and Kucha will get her kicked off next.
