Think of this as Fantasy Civilization. Here you get a chance to command armies of men and monsters, soldiers and sorcery. With both single player and multiplayer gaming, this title looks to bridge the gap between fantasy role playing games and traditional turn based strategy games, building on the success of the original Age of Wonders.

LegionPC Game Review - Jun 3, 2002 - By Kevin Kuphal
Let me first say that I am not a fan of real time strategy (RTS) games but more of a turn based Civilization type of player. Legion, is a game of the latter category but with aspects of an RTS. Not that you control the armies combating on the field, but you set them up and watch them wage war using the intricate combat model that the game provides. It is this combination that sets the game apart from many in this genre.
Mobile ForcesPC Game Review - Jun 17, 2002 - By Kevin Kuphal
Mobile Forces is a first person shooter hopped up on something and loving every minute of it. Take the Unreal Tournament engine and add vehicles you can drive and ride in and sprinkle in some sophisticated AI combatants and unique game play options and this is what you would get. With the gold version of Mobile Forces to take out for a spin, I was unexpectedly surprised to find a game different from most in this space and immensely fun to play.
This is it. This is where my true self is revealed. Yes, I know it's hard to believe, but I played AD&D when I was younger. I know, I know. You're beside yourself. Shocker. So you can only imagine my delight at hearing the details of Neverwinter Nights: AD&D 3rd Edition rules in a highly detailed 3D game including the ability for a Dungeon Master (DM) to control the game and mold it to his or her liking while it progressed. It sounded like a dream come true.
"Just one more turn." It's a promise you make. Not to your parents or long suffering spouse, but to yourself. It's a promise you make when playing this game. And it's a promise you know - the instant you make it - that you're not going to keep.
I must be one of the old time gamers, because here is another release in a series of first person shooters where I have not played the original before. Soldier of Fortune 2: Double Helix (SOF2) brings to the table an impressive array of technologies to the first person shooter genre. The list is extensive. GHOUL2, ARICHOE, LICH AI, ICARUS, etc. But what does it all mean?
Back in the days when I was a young boy, I remember playing a game with my father called Battle of the Bulge. It had a big hexagonal game board, tiny cardboard square units. Strategic Command: European Theater brings this game and many others like it to life on the computer. It is not, by far, the first to do so, but perhaps the latest.
The latest in the series of games based on Tom Clancy's best selling novels and motion picture adaptations: The Sum of All Fears (SOAF) is a different animal then most first person shooters in features and game play. Having never read the book or played a game of this series, I was a true newbie coming into this review. One thing to note though is that the system requirements state it and it is true, the game does not support the popular Voodoo series of video cards which inconvenienced even this reviewer
SWAT 4PC Game Review - May 12, 2005 - By Michael Whitethorne
It's every little boy's dream: you get to play cops and robbers. These guys aren't just cops. They are the elite team of the Special Weapons and Tactics, better known as the SWAT team.
Let me start by saying that I've never played Warcraft before. "ACK! Sacrilege!" I hear your cries. "Almost unbelievable" you say. I know. I find it hard to believe myself, but as you may have read before, I'm not a big fan of Real Time Strategy (RTS) games. I just don't have the knack to control all of those units at the same time and keep track of everything that is going on...in real time.
Attacking an already crowded field, can World of Warcraft - a new fantasy based massively multiplayer online role-playing game - carve out a niche for itself?
